Ann Curry
Ann Curry, an American photographer and journalist who has reported on the natural and military disasters of more than 45 years. She focuses on the suffering of those living in these regions. Curry has reported on wars around the globe, including Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, (born November 19th, 1956 in Agana American journalist, television anchor and news reporter. She was best known for her role as a correspondent for the Today show a morning news program that was broadcast by the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry was well-known for her reporting about natural disasters as well as war devastated countries. Curry's mother was Japanese American and her U.S. Navy-sailor father were both prominent figures in Curry's life. Her parents met while her father was stationed in Japan following World War II. As a result of her father's active military service the family moved often. Curry completed high school at Ashland Oregon. In the end, University of Oregon awarded her the degree of bachelor of arts in journalism. Her likely to have developed an empathetic way of communicating through her exposure to diverse cultures in her early years. Four years later she moved in Los Angeles and became a journalist at KCBS TV. During the six years she worked for KCBS, she was awarded the two Emmy Awards.
